How it will help

Pharmacists are the most visited and accessible healthcare profession in Australia. Pharmacists already support 458 million patients each year, and they are trusted and trained to provide the community with more healthcare.

By providing early, point of care testing and support for common ailments pharmacists can:

  • Ease pressure on our doctors and nurses
  • Free up local GPs time and enable them to focus on more complex issues
  • Prevent unnecessary emergency department visits made when patients can’t access their GP
